Do you still offer studio appointments?

Unfortunately, I no longer offer studio appointments. However, I am fully available for mobile / travel bookings.

Do you still offer Makeup Lessons?

Unfortunately, I no longer offer Makeup Lessons as a service.

Do you still offer Hair Styling services?

Hair Styling services are available for General Bookings. Hair Styling is not available for Bridal or Group bookings.

What Hair Styles do you offer?

I currently only offer basic Hair Styling services. Styles include Straight, Waves or Curls - loose styles only. Please note I do not offer up-do's or hair styling where pinning is involved. Pricing is dependant on the individual hair type and the desired style.

Do you travel for bookings?

Yes! Travel is available for an additional travel fee (dependant on location). Please ensure you include a location when enquiring about travel for your booking. Subject to availability.*

How is the cost of travel calculated?

The cost of travel is calculated using the formula below:

Minutes to Travel to Location x $1,70 = Approximate Cost of Travel ($)

All travel is calculated from Bulimba QLD 4171.

Extra costs may be added to your cost of travel when:

  • Travel will be required during peak times, thus adding extra travel time and delays and/or

  • Tolls are required when travelling to and from your destination

What is an Early Fee and how is it calculated?

Makeup by Amy Fuentes operates between the hours of 8:00AM - 5:00PM. If your appointment requires an arrival time before 8:00Am, you will be charged an Early Fee. The cost of the fee is $30.00 per hour prior to 8:00AM.

Are false lashes included with my service?

A complimentary false lash application is included with every service. However, lashes are always optional. Opting for a look without false lashes will not result in any change to the cost of your service.

How should I prepare for my Makeup appointment?

Please ensure you have freshly cleansed and exfoliated skin. Do not apply any toners, serums, moisturisers, oils or SPF. I'll apply a customised skincare regime for you to ensure you have an ideal base for makeup.

How should I prepare for my Hair Styling appointment?

Please complete all four of the following steps to prep your hair the night before your hair appointment.

1.     Shampoo your hair 2-3 times to get rid of ALL oils and product build up.

2.    Apply Conditioner or a Hair Mask ONLY to the mid lengths and ends of your hair. Avoid putting these products on your roots 

       and make sure you rinse it out well.

3.    Blow Dry your hair where you would like it to be parted (e.g. side or middle part). This doesn't need to be perfect but if you               take a brush and blow dry it as smooth as possible that will be ideal! You're welcome to add a small amount of defrizzing

       cream prior to blow drying but nothing too heavy (oils etc) as we will be adding in product to your hair so we don't want it to

       be weighed down.

4.    Straighten your hair in small sections. Make sure you straighten hair where you would like it to be parted (e.g. side or middle

       part).

 

Do I need to pay a Booking Fee to secure my booking?

A 50% Non-Refundable Booking Fee is required for ALL bookings.

For General Bookings:

This will be due within 3 business days after confirming you would like to move forward with your booking. Your booking will only be secure once this has been received.

For Bridal Bookings:

This will be due within 3 business days after confirming you would like to move forward with your booking. Your booking will only be secure once this has been received.

When will my final payment be due?

You will be required to pay a 50% Non-Refundable Booking Fee to secure any booking.

 

For General Bookings:

Your final payment will be due via bank transfer 2 weeks prior to your booked appointment. You will receive a confirmation email outlining the exact date your payment is due.

For Bridal Bookings:

Your final payment will be due via bank transfer 2 weeks prior to your booked appointment. You will receive a confirmation email outlining the exact date your payment is due.

For any Booking made within 2 weeks of your booking date:

Your payment will be required IN FULL (inclusive of your 50% non-refundable booking fee) via bank transfer within 3 business days after confirming you would like to move forward with your booking OR immediately (with proof of transfer) if less than 3 days before your booking date. You will receive a confirmation email outlining the exact date your payment is due.

Do you offer Trials?

You are more than welcome to book in for any of my services and treat it as a Trial before securing a booking for your event. Please note that Trials are priced the same as my usual services.

How long will the appointment take?

Please visit my Service Menu for the specific time frame allocated to each service. Please note that Set Up and Pack Down time is also added when you book a mobile / travel booking. This will be outlined in your quote.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Please get in touch ASAP if you need to cancel or reschedule your booked appointment. The best way to contact me is via email (hello@amyfuentes.com). Your 50% booking fee is non-refundable however, it is fully transferable if you get in touch 72 hours / 3 days before your booked appointment. Booking fees will not be transferable when a booking is cancelled with less that 72 hours / 3 days notice.
